Student Affairs & School of Film/Video
Date: Oct. 22
Schedule:
Location: CalArts Campus; Bijou Theater (Screening & Panel), F200 (Reception)
About:
October is recognized nationally as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)—a dedicated time to honor survivors, promote healthy relationship dynamics, and unite our community against intimate partner violence. Domestic violence affects individuals across all backgrounds, and raising awareness is a vital step toward breaking cycles of harm, fostering safe relationships, and ensuring everyone knows where to turn for support.
As part of this important month of action and reflection, Student Affairs and the School of Film/Video invite you to explore how creative expression can serve as a powerful form of resistance against injustice.
