KATHA: The Charioteer’s Code is a visceral multimedia dance-theatre event where ancient Indian myths collide with urgent modern ethics. Drawing from three mythic lineages and forged through the martial power of Chhau and the raw intimacy of contemporary movement, eight dancers, live musicians, and narrators embody timeless dilemmas through breath, rhythm, and risk. Sculptural group formations fracture into intimate testimony, underscored by live percussion, electronic sound, and projected fragments of text and image. In a stark, torchlit world of banners, crowns, and haze, duty wrestles with desire, fate with choice—myth reactivated as lived, present-tense experience.
