Join us if you’re interested in committing 2 hours weekly to practice the following: 

  • Can commit to attending 8 sessions for embodied practice
  • Train in perceiving your own body weight through movement exercises in the dance studio and on campus outdoors
  • Hone proprioceptive sensibilities (knowing where you are in space) by working with material with weight and form 
  • Explore partnering with an object, architecture (such as a wall), and other people 
  • Practice witnessing and being witnessed
  • Practice being present in the space with other humans, non-humans (cars, trees), more than human forces (gravity, the earth turning, objects that move past us) in stillness and in movement 
  • Is stillness really still? Working with regulating sympathetic nervous system as movement
