Harmonica player Roni Eytan is a pioneering musician who toured with Danilo Perez by age 23 and was the only harmonica player selected by Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter for the prestigious Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz. He pushes the instrument’s boundaries, notably by developing the world’s first microtonal harmonica to play Middle Eastern Maqam music. A frequent collaborator with artists like Kris Davis, John Patitucci, and Shai Maestro, Eytan has recorded his debut album, produced by Maestro, which is planned for a 2026 release.
