Brian Smee is a 2D animator, storyboard artist, and filmmaker. Isabelle Aspin is a Los Angeles–based background artist specializing in thoughtfully researched, story-driven background art. Craig Rogers is the co-founder of Deaf Crocodile.
Directed by Héctor López Carmona, Roy del Espacio (1983) is a 64-minute outsider sci-fi animation that became a celebrated piece of lost media before being rediscovered and restored for a 2026 Blu-ray release by Deaf Crocodile. The film draws loosely from 1930s Flash Gordon serials through rotoscoping, while also incorporating unauthorized footage from the Japanese science-fiction film Message from Space.
