Meet the provost

The Office of the Provost at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) is responsible for providing academic leadership and oversight across the college. This includes guiding the development and implementation of academic policies and programs, supporting faculty recruitment, retention, and professional development, and enhancing student learning experiences through curriculum development, academic advising, and support services.

Additionally, the office promotes creative practice excellence and fosters a culture of innovation and discovery, while championing initiatives that create a diverse, inclusive, and equitable campus community. Committed to fostering an environment of innovation and excellence, the Office of the Provost ensures CalArts remains at the forefront of experimentation and innovation in arts education.
