Project Week is HASOM’s semesterly week-long program dedicated to exploration, collaboration, and creative growth. Taking place from Monday, March 9 through Friday, March 13, Project Week replaces the regular School of Music schedule with a wide range of workshops, performances, lessons, and events led by faculty and visiting artists. This immersive week invites students to step outside their usual routines, engage with new ideas, and connect with the broader HASOM community.

Linda May Han Oh, the 2023 Herb Alpert Award winner in Music, is a GRAMMY-winning bassist and composer based in New York City who has performed with major artists including Pat Metheny, Vijay Iyer, and Terri Lyne Carrington. Born in Malaysia and raised in Perth, she has received numerous honors such as multiple Jazz Journalists Association Bassist of the Year awards, the Deutscher Jazz Preis, and an honorary doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music. She has released five acclaimed albums as a leader, including The Glass Hours, and has composed commissioned works for chamber ensembles, film scores, and international collaborative projects, including documentaries and films developed through Sundance Labs and global nonprofit partnerships.
