Charles Huettner is a Hollywood based artist working in animation. He originally wanted to be a graphic designer, but that program was too difficult to enter, so he defaulted to the fine art program instead, in Kutztown University. After years of making short films and freelancing for various companies he co-created the tv show called Scavengers Reign, a MAX series, where he worked both as a writer and art director.

Charles Huettner grew up on old farmland in south-central PA. He spent most of his childhood running around in the nearby forest, and one of the biggest inspirations for him was the way some of the thorn bushes and vines would overtake certain man-made structures, like fence posts, etc. looking like this big, chaotic mess of vines reaching out for something that doesn’t exist. Scavengers Reign, which follows four crew members who are left to survive on a wild alien world, does incorporate a lot of his early interest in nature | charleshuettner.com
