Riya Lakshman presents an evening of music that reflects her evolving artistic voice and marks the culmination of her graduate studies. As a violinist, she is drawn to repertoire that explores contrast, moving between drama and emotional intensity while also embracing moments of stillness and introspection. The program brings together works by Francis Poulenc, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Arvo Pärt, and Jean Sibelius that traverse emotional and sonic landscapes, from moments of stillness and reflection to passages of energy and virtuosity.
