The Office of Student Affairs at CalArts provides a variety of student support and advocacy services, including career services, personal counseling, special events and activities, and student-sponsored clubs and organizations.
Student Affairs also offers assistance to students with disabilities and addresses issues pertaining to student rights and responsibilities, including Title IX. Student Affairs additionally seeks to assist students with transitions, from adjusting as a new student to the CalArts community to preparing for a career post-CalArts. The staff is dedicated to helping students deal with challenges and problems in all aspects of their lives.
The 2014-2015 Student Handbook (pdf) is online and currently in effect. Students are responsible for abiding by the community standards, policies, and regulations outlined in this document. Failure to read, or being unaware of Institute policy is not a valid excuse when allegedly violating CalArts regulations.
