Virtual Information Sessions

Virtual Information Sessions are an opportunity to learn more about our programs and ask questions about the application process. Information Sessions are held over Zoom at 3pm Pacific Time and last around 45 minutes including time for a Q&A.

  • General Information Session (Mondays, 3pm Pacific Time) - All Schools

  • Performing Arts (Tuesdays, 3pm Pacific Time) - The Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance, The Herb Alpert School of Music, School of Theater
  • Visual Arts Information Sessions (Wednesdays, 3pm Pacific Time) - School of Art and School of Film/Video

Are you a graduate student interested in one of our masters or doctoral programs? Please email the admissions contact for your program of interest directly rather than signing up for an information session.

Campus Tours

Small group tours of the CalArts campus are available for prospective students and their immediate family. Availability and guest count are limited to best protect our community and our visitors. Tours depart from the main lobby at 12 pm, are led by current CalArts students and last approximately one hour.

In order to create an artistic and educational environment that is as safe as possible, all visitors must be vaccinated before coming to campus. Please plan to check in at the front desk when arriving on campus, show your proof of vaccination, complete a COVID safety check, obtain and wear a visitor badge, and wear a mask at all times.

Getting to CalArts

Coronavirus Update: CalArts is presently closed to visitors who do not have an appointment.

CalArts' 60-acre, residential campus is located in Valencia, CA in the Santa Clarita Valley. The campus is north of Los Angeles, adjacent to Interstate Highway 5 on McBean Parkway—40 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, 21 miles from the Burbank Airport and 44 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
