The Center for Life and Work

An evening-length performance in three parts for two dancers, three musicians, and a car on encountering the deadly fact of the coming human extinction. Based on the five stages of grief we will grieve late capitalism and human civilisation as we know it, live through denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. We will speculate about new materialities of existence in sub-nature, in mycelium and fungus—as well as in in hybrid-nature, in cyborg, data and angels. We will feel through these proposed modes, their embodiment, visuality, and their haptic materiality and close the evening with a ritual of hope for survival. 

The piece is followed by a reception and talkback with the artists.
