CalArts Car Club
This club will provide MFA students from any discipline with a safe, alternative way to connect and engage critically in the absence of on-campus learning. The goal of the club is to enliven the creative, academic, and social experience at CalArts by reintroducing a sense of spontaneity, community, and experimentation. The Collective
Functioning as a gathering and a summoning, artists of the African Diaspora collaborate across disciplines to discover the polyvocal, radical depths of Black expression and thought. Through the creation of programming and events that take place throughout CalArts, the Collective strives to sustain multifocal conversations by choosing to speak back and re-vision.
