2019 Acting Audition Schedule

Auditions times for each day are either 9am-12pm, or 1pm-4pm. Please plan on being available for the entire block of time, although once your audition is complete, you may finish earlier. Please see notes below for URTA** applicants.

Los Angeles, CA: CalArts Campus

**If you are an MFA applicant planning to audition in Chicago or San Francisco, please note that we participate in the URTA auditions. We also reserve a limited number of individual audition slots for direct applicants. Please contact Rachel Park at rpark@calarts.edu to reserve one of these slots.


2019 Design and Production and Creative Producing and Management Interview Schedule

BFA Program Interviews

Interviews for the BFA Design and Production program are by invitation only. Students will be notified of a request for interview by the end of the first week in February, with interviews taking place in early March. Prospective students must complete the admissions application requirements and the online portfolio by the general application deadline if they wish to be considered for an interview.

Not all candidates will be invited to interview. Interviews may be held by phone for applicants unable to attend the in-person interview day on campus, although an in-person interview is preferred when possible.

Graduate Program Interviews

Prospective students must complete the admissions application requirements and the online portfolio to be considered for admission. The online application must be submitted before an interview will be scheduled.

Applicants will be contacted if an interview is requested by Faculty. Not all candidates will be invited to interview. Interviews may be held by phone, although an in-person interview is preferred when possible.

The CalArts School of Theater will be attending National Unified Auditions/Interviews as part of U/RTA in Chicago, and will meet graduate applicants in all areas of Design, Technical Direction, and Creative Management. We also hold interviews by appointment at our campus.
