BFA Program Interviews
Interviews for the BFA Experience Design and Production program are by invitation only. Students will be notified of a request for interview by the end of the first week in February, with interviews taking place in early March. Prospective students must complete the admissions application requirements and the online portfolio by the general application deadline if they wish to be considered for an interview.
Not all candidates will be invited to interview. Interviews may be held by phone for applicants unable to attend the in-person interview day on campus, although an in-person interview is preferred when possible.

Applicants will be contacted if an interview is requested by Faculty. Not all candidates will be invited to interview. Interviews may be held by phone, although an in-person interview is preferred when possible.
Prospective students must complete the admissions application requirements and the online portfolio to be considered for admission. The online application must be submitted before an interview will be scheduled.
CalArts School of Theater faculty will participate in URTAs in New York and Chicago and will meet graduate applicants across specific specializations of Design, Technical Direction, and Arts Leadership. To see if your specific area will be represented at this event, please contact the Admissions Counselor. All students are encouraged to apply to the institute directly.
