This email was sent to the CalArts community about the revised COVID-19 guidelines.
Dear CalArts Community:
When our original COVID-19 guidelines were written and distributed, I mentioned that the document is a fluid one; as guidance emerges from the Centers for Disease Control, the State of California, and the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, the institutional guidelines used at CalArts to help navigate the pandemic as safely as possible must also adapt to evolving guidance from the various agencies.
During the month of August, we saw new guidance released from the State of California as well as Los Angeles County. We also managed to have a number of one-on-one consultations with the County to address a variety of Institute needs with regard to student workers and a variety of other matters. Additionally, there are amendments to the issue of out-of-state travel that I would suggest that you review (please see pages 22-23).
As such, we have revised the document containing the CalArts guidelines; the document can be accessed via the Institute website, and a copy is attached to this message.
The most recently updated sections are noted by the presence of the date of the update in orange, for example (9.2.20) following each new or changed item.
