To celebrate the implementation of system-wide chosen name, pronoun and gender options for our community, CalArts will host a launch party on Thursday, Jan. 24. Nationally recognized scholar and author Dr. Z Nicolazzo will join students, faculty, and staff for a day of conversation exploring questions of personal identity, with particular focus on the experience of today's college students. 

 

Dr. Nicolazzo currently serves as Assistant Professor of Trans* Studies in Education at the Center for the Study of Higher Education and as a member of the Trans* Studies Initiative at the University of Arizona. Copies of her book Trans* in College will be available at events during the day for the first 100 students and faculty who RSVP in advance. Copies of Trans* in College will also be kept on reserve in the library.
