The Institute strives to support our alumni community with a multitude of professional development programs to help foster growth and community.

We welcome alums to share their expertise on a particular topic with fellow CalArtians. Past topics include how to pitch your script, social media for artists, and maintaining your creative vision while managing professional relationships.

Workshops are hosted in Los Angeles or virtually. Presentations run 45 minutes with an additional 15-30 minutes for Q & A. Your workshop may be live streamed or recorded to share with the CalArts community. The Alumnx Office presents several talks a year and will move forward with topics that best fit the needs and requests of the community.

If you'd like more information about presenting, kindly email Karolyn Heimes at
