CalArts Plays Itself

For four days, CalArts Plays Itself presents sculpture, sound and video installation, film and photography in the studios, hallways, lobby and terrace of an historic building that formerly housed the baths and showers for the factory. Many of the showcased works are created on-site, and address social and urban issues that are central to the region. The festival also includes a symposium featuring some of the most exciting theorists working at the crossroads of art, critical studies, and politics today.
