SPIDERLILY is a monodrama composed, performed, directed, and written by Rachel Epperly. The monodrama follows a restricted empress who sails to a giant spider lily blooming in the middle of the ocean to seek liberation, only to find that she is in fact part of the Spiderlily and must reincarnate back into the flower in order to achieve true liberation. The monodrama features solo experimental voice, string ensemble, and electronics and is staged primarily with fabric and projections.
