"Learning to See" is a collection of original songs for voice that explore the theme of releasing one’s self from internalized cultural constructions that tell us to hide, limit, and deny ourselves, particularly in a queer and feminist context. The recital asks what it means to truly “see” our body, our voice, our expression, and nature beyond such constructions. All songs and text are written, composed, and performed by Rachel Epperly.
