The MFA Creative Writing Program is hosting Oscar-nominated actor Paul Raci on Monday, March 4. He is visiting CMWP-656-01 Resonance: Writing, Culture, and Sound to discuss art and Deaf culture. Open to the Institute.

American actor Paul Raci received a 2020 Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the film The Sound of Metal and has appeared in many TV shows, including Baskets opposite Zach Galifianakis, Goliath opposite Billy Bob Thornton, and Parks and Recreations opposite Amy Poehler. He was born and raised in Chicago by Deaf parents and is fluent in American Sign Language, and will be discussing art and deaf culture with the MFA class Resonance: Writing, Culture, and Sound.
