Jace Clayton is an artist and writer based in New York, also known for his work as DJ /rupture. His book Uproot: Travels in 21st Century Music and Digital Culture was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. His most recent writing is a tribute to Jamaican musician Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, published in Pitchfork. This fall Clayton is co-teaching the Graduate Critical Practice Seminar at the Yale School of Art.
