A “Thank You” Golden Hour Break and Photo Event Nov. 9, 2021
The CalArts community (students, faculty, and staff) are invited to join a mid-semester break for shaved ice, cupcakes, savory treats, and beverages on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 4 pm. Music, prizes, and swag included!
Before the food and fun begin, we will stage a photo for the CalArts’ New Year’s card in the Lulu May von Hagen Courtyard. The sun will be in the perfect golden position at 4:05 pm, so hurry down at 4 pm and join other CalArtians.
Be sure to wear a mask, and if you’d like, bring your instrument, mannequin, costume, book, brushes or other gear. Institute photographer Rafael Hernandez and videographer Nico Savignano (both CalArts alums) will take photos and videos to share with colleagues, alumnx, friends, families, and donors as 2022 nears.
Directions to Lulu May von Hagen Courtyard:
To get to the Lulu May courtyard, go down the stairs by D300 and D301 outside of the Cafeteria. At the base of those stairs on the second floor, you’ll see a glass automatic door. Go outside, and down the stairs just to the right.
Additionally, you can get to the Lulu May courtyard by exiting the building on the 1st floor through the glass door near C105, or by exiting Tatum to their patio.
