The Ensemble is joined by bassist Michael Francis Duch to perform the U.S. premiere of Michael Pisaro-Liu’s Caminante, alongside works by Carolyn Chen, inti figgis-vizueta, Daniel Newman-Lessler, and Ingram Marshall, with the CalArts Brass Ensemble.
 
Michael Francis Duch is professor and researcher at the University of Trondheim, Norway. He has been involved in around 70 recordings and has played solo concerts throughout Scandinavia and Europe. He plays in a trio with Rhodri Davies and John Tilbury, the improv quartet LEMUR with Bjørnar Habbestad, Hild Sofie Tafjord and Lene Grenager, and various other constellations. Collaborations include Pauline Oliveros, Mats Gustafsson, AMM, Christian Wolff, Tony Conrad, Joëlle Léandre, amongst others.
