BARE WITNESS is a piece that attempts to unveil and put on display the deepest insecurities and hidden truths of three individuals; their thoughts and writings translated into movement. Their bodies are restricted by the confines of their spaces, to be viewed in a vulnerable state. The origins of this piece are rooted in the ongoing process of stripping away the layers of self in order to acknowledge our inner truths. Coupled with the process of recognizing personal and collective identity traits to shape our understanding of connectedness and community. As an audience, you will be immersed in this piece, asked to be a part of the landscape, view it up close, and walk around. You will also be invited to assist in the sound design.
A piece derived from feeling indifferent and uninspired by the craft that usually heals me.
