Group Sports
CalArts has two tennis courts and a basketball court that are open for use from 6 am-10 pm daily. Individual or team sports and other recreational activities are all sponsored by Campus Life. The Office provides equipment for sports—including baseball, basketball, tennis and croquet.
Camping Equipment
Students with valid CalArts I.D. may, on a first-come, first-served basis, borrow camping equipment. Items available are: tents, camping stoves, lanterns, camping pads and camping chairs.
Pool
Available to all registered students, the swimming pool is located in the courtyard of Chouinard Hall. The pool is heated, as necessary, from March through November.
Weight Room
Chouinard Hall maintains a weight room, including treadmills, exercise bikes and free weights. This is available only to on-campus residential students. A $10 per year fee is charged for access and is used for maintenance of the space and equipment.
