Stuart Evans co-founded The Green Door Studio in Glasgow, Scotland in 2006, and went on to engineer and produce records for artists such as Golden Teacher (Optimo Music / Warp Records / Rough Trade / Sounds of the Universe), LAPS (MIC / DFA Records), The Amazing Snakeheads (Domino Records) and Belle & Sebastian (Matador Records). 

Over the past 25 years as a musician, he was signed to Sony Music in the 90’s (with a debut album in the top 20 UK Album Charts and 5 singles that went to #1 on the UK Independent Charts) and, more recently, has released 5 albums / EP’s of left-field electronic music on Invisible Inc. Records and has remixed tracks for labels such as Optimo Music, TigerSushi, Mange Moi, Rotten City Records, and Sounds of Sinners. 

He has collaborated with artists in Belize and Ghana, co-producing a series of records that were released on the Autonomous Africa label. He has worked alongside legendary dub / post-punk producer Dennis Bovell (Fela Kuti, The Slits, The Pop Group), as well as Mike Hedges (The Cure, Siousxie & The Banshees, Bauhaus) and Howie B (Sly & Robbie, Bjork, Brian Eno). 

He has an M-Eng in Electronics with Music from the University of Glasgow, UK.
