Michael Elgarico (he/him) currently serves as the vice president for enrollment management at the California Institute of the Arts. Before coming to CalArts, Michael was the dean of Undergraduate Admission and Outreach at California Lutheran University and instructor in the Graduate School of Education. 

Prior to Cal Lutheran, he was at Stanford University, where he served as the associate director of Undergraduate Admission and managed the college counseling program at the Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) Online High School.

Michael has also worked in residence life at Fordham University Lincoln Center, held senior admission roles at Northeastern University directing international initiatives and as the assistant director of the United Asian Learning Resource Center (UALRC) at UMass Amherst, managing student success and retention programming.

Michael has held leadership roles in professional organizations including the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling, and is a member of the Association of Black Admissions and Financial Aid Officers of the Ivy League and Sister Schools (ABAFAOILSS).
