Katie Nicely

An accomplished fundraiser and administrator with years of experience in both higher education and in the arts, Katie Nicely (she/her) has participated in and led all areas of institutional advancement, from capital and endowment campaigns, annual funds, and developing fundraising strategy to increasing alumni engagement, enhancing organizations’ philanthropic cultures, and building effective and high-functioning advancement teams.

Katie has worked in higher education at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Stanford University, and the University of Maryland. She has worked for arts and cultural organizations as well, including the San Francisco Symphony, the Gallo Center for the Arts, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and in social service for the United Way Bay Area. Katie received a master’s degree from Indiana University in Arts Administration, beginning her fundraising career working at the NPR and PBS affiliate there, and a bachelor’s degree in music performance and communications from DePauw University.
