Cohen is president of The Switch HTN Sports Group, which provides professional sports cable and television rights holders with broadcast transmission facilities. 

Recognized universally for his accomplishments in and contributions to the television broadcast industry, he has created and revived companies in television, cable, radio, arena operations, and professional sports franchises.

Cohen began his career in New York in 1970 at Madison Square Garden, and in 1979 was named president of MSG Network. During his tenure as president, Cohen used his entrepreneurial spirit and unique understanding of the industry to  co-found the USA Network. Cohen was chairman and CEO of Z Channel, the storied Los Angeles- based cable network, from 1987 to 1989, and chairman and CEO of the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club from 1993 to 1995. Cohen lent his expertise to Mayor Villaraigosa’s Blue Ribbon Committee on a proposed downtown sports stadium.

Cohen is a board member for the March of Dimes and the Police Athletic League, and a trustee of the New York Sports Museum and Hall of Fame. Since 2003, Cohen has served as a board member and Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame committee member of Sports Video Group, a professional organization that specializes in advancing the creation, production, and distribution of sports content.

Cohen received the Boy Scouts’ Good Scout Award, and, in 1998, the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
