Raised in Los Angeles, Genna’s approach to movement is deeply rooted in authenticity and purpose. During her concert dance career, she performed works by Barak Marshall with BODYTRAFFIC and was a founding member of Ate9 Dance Company. She performed at renowned venues such as Jacob’s Pillow, White Bird Dance, CAP UCLA and The Joyce Theater + many more. Additionally she was trained and was certified in the Gaga movement language. 

In 2020, Genna embarked on a new path and launched her collective Gorgeous Ugly Movement (G.U.M. Co). She’s had her work commissioned and presented at venues like REDCAT, Highways Performance Space, The Odyssey, Yes! Dance Festival,  Ballet Florida, CalArts LAUNCH BFA4 2025, and CONGRESS. She has also begun a longer collaboration with homeLA to choreograph and develop the organization’s first dance film alongside director Christina Burchard. 

During this time, Genna has also been growing her voice in commercial dance. She’s choreographed and performance coached for a top lineup of artists including HAIMOne RepublicDominic FikeMarinaCarly Rae JepsenXAmbassadorsSASAMIZella DayFrancisca ValenzuelaFitz and the TantrumsMaude Latour, while also making her mark as a featured talent in music videos and commercials with artists like Perfume Genius and Olivia Rodrigo, OnRunning, Apple & more! More recently, Genna choreographed for upcoming indie films “Drifter” and “Via Negativa”. She also had the incredible opportunity to movement direct the spring 2026 Athleta campaign. 

Beyond her performance and choreographic endeavors, Genna is a Dance Church® instructor and shares her passion for movement with Theater students as part-time faculty at CalArts. Most recently, Genna was honored to be listed in Dance Magazine’s “25 to watch” and showcased her work in NYC at Mark Morris Dance Center. 

Above all, Genna’s mission is to cultivate joy and depth through movement, while fostering inclusive and supportive environments for exploration and creativity.
