Amaris Jordan

Amaris Jordan is an African-Japanese American artist with a focus on oil and acrylic portrait paintings. She is in her third year in the BFA Art program at California Institute of the Arts. 

n addition to being the student trustee for the 2024-25 academic year, she also sits on the Student Union Health and Wellness Committee, committing to better the physical and mental health needs of the student body. Both in her work as a painter and in shared governance, Amaris works to encourage students to lift their voices, being the student body’s biggest cheerleader, and is passionate about the representation of minority groups, such as the LGBTQIA+ and ethnic groups. In her spare time she loves to bake, play games with friends, watch movies, and make candy bracelets.
