Join us for an artist talk in the Experimental Animation Visiting Artists (EAVA) series this Fall, featuring Yaloo Lim.

Yaloo is a South Korean visual artist working with digital moving image installations. She received a BFA in Video Art in 2011 and an MFA in Video Art in 2015 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently faculty of Experimental Animation at CalArts.

Since 2017, she has exhibited and screened work internationally at institutions including the Gyeonggido Museum of Art, Asia Culture Center, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, FACT Liverpool, Art Center Nabi, Incheon International Airport, and The Hyundai Seoul. She has completed residencies at ZERO1NE and Asia Culture Center in Korea in 2022, Headlands Center for the Arts in 2018, Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in 2024, and 836m in San Francisco in 2024, and was awarded the Lyn Blumenthal Memorial Scholarship by Video Data Bank and the Gyeonggi MoMA and IBK Young Artist Award in 2024. Yaloo’s work ROO (2024) was acquired by Busan Museum of Art in January 2026.
