Alumni Engagement
CalArts’ Alumni Council is a group of dedicated CalArtians who generously volunteer their time and talent to advance the CalArts community and their fellow alums.
Members represent a diverse range of métiers, generations, and professional experience who work with the Institute through the Office of Alumni to provide initiatives and resources that support CalArts graduates. Council leaders include a chair and a representative to the Board of Trustees.
The CalArts Alumni Council facilitates initiatives and resources that support fellow alumni through engagement, mentorship, and professional development. The council shares their embodied alumni experience with the Institute, supporting the voices of the alumni community.
The Alumni Council has chosen three main areas of focus to support its current strategic activities. Read more in the Alumni Council Handbook.
This area will focus on supporting the efforts of the CalArts Office of Admissions. The goal of this area is assisting with the recruitment, and conversion of prospective students to becoming enrolled CalArtians. Activities will be guided by the Office of Admissions staff.
This area focuses on supporting the activities of the Patty Disney Center for Life and Work (CLW) and other areas of Student Affairs. The goal of this area of focus is to support current students’ experience at CalArts and professional development via initiatives and collaborations guided by the CLW and Student Affairs staff.
This area will focus on supporting the activities of the Office of Alumni Engagement. The goal of this area is to work with Alumni Engagement staff to identify ways to engage a diverse group of alumni around the world. Activities will be guided by the Office of Alumni Engagement staff.
