Victor Sandoval Torres holds a BFA in Theater Management from California Institute of the Arts, and has been Associate Costume Shop Manager for the School of Theater since 2017. 

At CalArts, Victor enjoys guiding BFA and MFA students through the physical production process, including sourcing and shopping costume materials and fabrics. Victor has experience with dyeing, crafts, fittings, and the build process, which he brings to the CalArts production season, along with a practical focus on budgeting, scheduling, and calendar management. Since graduation in 2008, Victor has also pursued real world experience in the entertainment industry as a set Production Assistant, Costume Designer, Costume Assistant, and Set Costumer, and is bilingual in English and Spanish, having worked in Mexico and the USA.

Professional work includes: Costume Supervisor on “Estoy Okate” starring actress Kate del Castillo (Weeds, The 33, Bad Boys for Life), with Costume Design by CalArts alumni Angela Trivino, Costume Design for the feature film “Safelight”, directed by Tony Aloupis, starring actor Evan Peters (American Horror Story, X-Men) and Juno Temple (Maleficent, Atonement), Set Costumer for Bresha Webb (A Fall from Grace, Marlon) on the TV series “Love That Girl” directed by Bentley Kyle Evans. Victor worked as a stylist’s assistant to Ashley Sean Thomas on a Viola Davis photoshoot for New York Moves, and with Kendall Jenner for Blank Magazine.
