Troy Allen (he/him) serves as the vice president for Facilities Development and Management and chief operations officer at California Institute of the Arts. He has more than 28 years of professional experience in business development, lean management, and strategic planning, and has worked in higher education for more than 11 years.

Prior to joining CalArts, Troy was at California State University, Los Angeles, and prior to that he worked with Wolters Kluwer as the executive director of operations, managing the legal and financial services division of the Fortune 1000 company. He has consulted at Perot Industries and Dell, Inc., where he practiced Six Sigma methodologies. Troy served as a studio development executive for over a decade within the entertainment studio system at 21st Century Fox, Sony Entertainment, and Wesley Snipes’ production company Amen Ra Entertainment.

Troy holds a black belt in Six Sigma and has received numerous performance awards for lean operational excellence.
