Michael Skloff is best known as a TV and film composer. Most notably, he wrote the theme song I’ll Be There for You for the hit NBC comedy series Friends, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination.

 He was also nominated for an Emmy for the main title theme to HBO’s comedy series Dream On. For the past eight years he and his son Sam have been the co-composers for the popular Netflix comedy series Grace and Frankie. Skloff also continues to write art music for different applications including music for the stage, worship, concert halls, and musical theater. He’s the composer of the musical stage adaptation of the Dudley Moore hit movie Arthur; and was vocal arranger and co-producer of Randy Newman’s songs in Disney’s James and Giant Peach. As a film score composer, he’s worked with directors John Landis, Jason Gould, Jason Alexander, Roberta Grossman, Sophie Sartain, among others. 

Michael is also widely known as a performer and music director, having appeared on The Tonight Show and The Jerry Lewis Telethon, as well as music director for Jenifer Lewis, Jasmine Guy, Jason Alexander, Bruce Vilanch, to name just a few. For a short time, he successfully produced and released a number of artists’ work on his former label, Electric Monkey Records.
