Mary Louise (ML) was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She trained with The Lee Strasberg Institute and with Stella Adler in her invitation only Master Class.

In 1984 she was selected to participate in the inaugural year of the Vassar Powerhouse Theatre Program in conjunction with The Double Image Theatre Company, working with the preeminent talent in American theater. While at Vassar she was invited to join The New York Stage and Film Company and performed Off-Broadway in Richard Nelson’s The Return of Pinocchio

Soon after she was recruited to California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) by Libby Appel, where she was offered a full talent scholarship and was one of a handful students in the school’s history to be offered her BA/MFA in three years.

Notable performances include Georgia O’Keeffe, in the West Coast Premiere of Alfred Stieglitz Loves O’Keeffe at CCRT, opposite of the late Robert Symonds, as well as Anna in New Mexico Repertory’s production of Burn This. She has performed in theatrical productions from Off-Broadway, to regional theater in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and New Mexico.

As a VO artist she has worked in North America and Europe and voiced media productions spanning from films, video games, animation, commercials, audio books, art installments, and the daily Dow Jones for Charles Schwab. Her Anne Sullivan’s Irish/Bostonian, in Nest Entertainment’s Helen Keller with Elizabeth Daily, earned multiple awards and endorsements.

She lived in Hamburg, Germany for four years working professionally as an actress and writer. She is a produced writer, with writing credits that include staff writer and story editor for SAT1’s prime time drama television series, an independent faith-based baseball movie, and three video games. She has been under development with Monsterfoot Productions and Disney. Most recently she is adapting her IP Little Sumo Warriors and Sci-Fi High for NFT launch in 2022 and 2023.

She runs ProADR Looping (the only loop group with CSA voice casting credential) with CalArts alumni, friend, and business partner Bernie Van De Yacht (CSA: Artios and Golden Reel nominee). Aside from working on the soundstage and writing, her interests include blockchain technology, spending time with her family, producing independent films, and golfing. She divides her time between Los Angeles, Carlsbad, and the Pacific Northwest.
