As senior vice president for Finance and Administration, Lori Husein (she/her) oversees all finance operations, as well as Human Resources and Capital Facilities Planning. 

Prior to joining CalArts, she held several senior leadership positions, including serving as associate chancellor of finance at the University of California, Irvine; vice president of Finance and Administration at Sweet Briar College; vice president of Finance and Administration and treasurer of the Claremont Colleges Consortium; and university vice president and controller of Loyola Marymount University. 

Prior to her work in higher education, Lori held senior level positions in start-up companies and was a consultant with Deloitte & Touche LLP for 12 years. She has a strong track record of using consensus-building to help organizations find solutions for financial and operational challenges and is known as a mission-oriented leader.

Lori earned her BA in Economics and Accounting at Claremont McKenna College and is a certified public accountant (CPA). She is a member of the California Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).
