An illustrator, designer, and a powerhouse of creative ideas, Kristin Showalter develops concepts for The Hettema Group and brings them to life in beautifully rendered illustrations.

She first entered the design world as a scenic artist, applying her painting skills to projects for Universal Studios, the San Diego Zoo, The 2013 Oscars, and The Goretorium in Las Vegas, as well as a variety of television shows, theatrical productions, music festivals, and movie premieres.

Jumping from the shop and into the studio, Kristin expanded her professional skill set to provide illustration, graphic design, set design, art direction, and concept design services for theme park attractions, resorts, television, and film projects. She has collaborated on a myriad of projects with RGH Themed Entertainment, Granaroli Design & Entertainment, Global Entertainment Services, and the Wyatt Design Group.

Kristin has worked on a variety of domestic and global projects for Universal, Disney, Six Flags, and Sea World. A majority of her work is under NDA, but her most notable projects that she can mention are: Justice League Battle for Metropolis, The Doha Oasis Wonderdome, Dong E E Jiao Biotech Park, and The Red Sea Astrarium.

Kristin received an M.F.A. in Design and Production from California Institute of the Arts, and a B.A. in Fine Art and Technical Theater from California State University Stanislaus.
