It is the policy of the California Institute of the Arts to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees in order to minimize the risk of work-related injuries and illnesses.
This will be achieved through the application of appropriate safeguards to processes, equipment, methods and procedures, and by providing employees with the training necessary to perform their jobs safely. We will take all necessary and responsible steps to comply with applicable safety and health regulations affecting our organization.
To help assure the safety and health of our associates, we have established this written Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). The overall authority and responsibility to develop and maintain the Safety Program is delegated to the Director, Risk Management Environmental Health & Safety. However, it is in everyone’s best interest to work safely and adhere to their responsibilities contained within this policy.
