The Financial Aid Office at CalArts is here to help. In this section you'll find information to help navigate the process of applying and securing assistance in the form of grants, scholarships, loans and other types of aid. Financial Aid Information

In the spring, students will receive an email notification with instructions to view financial aid awards online at the Hub. Financial aid awards must be accepted or rejected online through the "Accept or reject my financial aid awards" link before financial aid can be processed.

Satisfactory Artistic/Academic Progress: Students must maintain satisfactory artistic/academic progress in order to be eligible for financial aid. Review this policy as well as the Academic Warning, Probation, Dismissal and Appeal policy in the Course Catalog and Academic Policies” publication.

Types of Financial Aid

Most domestic students receive financial aid from a variety of sources, which may include federal, state, private, and institutional funds:


Title IV Funding and Admissions Policy

To be eligible to receive Title IV funds, a student must be admitted as a regularly enrolled student with a high school diploma or equivalent, be beyond the compulsory age of attendance for the state of California, or dually enrolled at the college and a secondary school.
