CalArts Office of International Relations and CultureHub present a Collaborative Dance and Music Exchange between CalArts and The Seoul Institute of the Arts Students.
For the first time in CalArts history, CalArts and The Seoul Institute of the Arts (SeoulArts) students will produce and perform a live dance and music exchange. The students will connect through Telepresence as a means for developing new forms of artistic expression, sharing creative and cultural experiences and promoting global collaboration, learning and innovation.

CultureHub is an incubator for creativity focused on the intersection of art and technology. We connect artists from diverse disciplines and cultures and provide them with environments in which to collaborate, experiment and explore. We serve local and global communities by providing an open space for creative research, artistic exchange and learning.
Founded in 2009 by the Seoul Institute of the Arts in Korea and La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in New York City, CultureHub currently consists of four telepresence studios: 1. Seoul Institute of the Arts(Seoul, Korea) 2. La MaMa Experimental Theater Club (NYC) 3. CalArts (LA) 4.Contact Theatre (Manchester, UK).

Austin Antoine is a Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, Actor. Austin was raised in Laurel, Maryland and moved to California to pursue his passion for performance. He is in his final year at CalArts pursuing a BFA in Acting. During Austin’s first year at CalArts, he co-created the multicultural performance group TheyGotTime (TGT) with Jordon Waters. This March, Austin will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Freestyle Rap, currently set at 13 hours and 23 minutes. Event Co-Producer

Jordon Waters is an interdisciplinary performing artist. With an extensive dance background, Jordon is concurrently an actor, producer and editor. Jordon is in his final year at CalArts pursuing a BFA in Dance and has performed at renowned venues such as REDCAT and La Jolla Playhouse. Jordon recently choreographed a piece featuring Austin Antoine and Joseph Santos for the 2013 CalArts Open House Dance Concert. He is currently working on an exploratory student film project on Commedia dell'arte as well as krump, contemporary, and ballet dance styles. Event Co-Producer
Joseph Apolonio Santos is an internationally touring, interdisciplinary artist with a primary focus on theatrical and filmed entertainment. Joseph is pursing his final year as a BFA in acting at CalArts. Along with Austin and Jordon, he is founding member of TGT. A hip-hop culture fanatic, Joseph dabbles in the art of rhyming under the alias “JAS”. He showcases his southern upbringing along with ambitions to come with the use of slick metaphors and rhyme schemes. He is currently listening to the new B.I.G. Sean mixtape "Detroit" on repeat. Devon Taylor is a composer, musician, Tubist and Electric Bass player working in the Greater Los Angeles area. Devon has been a featured soloist in the Sydney Opera House and throughout the United States. His passion is not only in performance but in teaching young promising musicians of tomorrow. Devon has been awarded a full scholarship to the California Institute of the Arts where he will be finishing a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Herb Alpert Music School next year.
Justin Jackson is a singer, songwriter, musician and classic-trained Pianist. Born on the south side of Chicago, Justin attended a highly competitive performing arts high school for his final two years. Justin began singing and songwriting at the age of four and playing the piano at the age of six. He has honed his many musical talents throughout his adolescence. He is currently a first year BFA of the Music School at CalArts and looks to make a big contribution to the music industry in the near future.

James Boss is a Korean American, born in Los Angeles, California. James was raised in Hollywood, California until the age of 4. A martial arts expert, James attended art school at The Art Institute of Los Angeles majoring in Multimedia. James left his studies to pursue acting at the Howard Fine Studio, and then relocated to South Korea's prestigious acting school Seoul Institute of the Arts. He was nick named "Boss" at the acting school and his friends referred to him as "JB" or sometimes as "James Brother". He co-directed his first play at SeoulArts titled "Liar Reversal" and received critical acclaim. He is currently attending SeoulArts and is pursuing acting and directing in both America and Korea. “White Wall” (2010) is James’ first directorial feature film and recently directed a music video for AVAN LAVA. Eric Park hails from Chicago, Illinois, and is an acting student at The Seoul Institute of the Arts. Eric studied at the prestigious Complutense University of Madrid in Spain and later at Providence College to major in both Business and Global Studies. A star producer and actor, Eric has helped organize many entertainment events on the SeoulArts campus. Recently, he collaborated with fellow SeoulArts faculty and students to produce US recording artist AVAN LAVA’s show in Seoul. Eric is fluent in Spanish, Korean and English. Event Co-Producer
Young-Ju An, also know as Jaylogic, is a prodigious music composer and producer, rapper, digital and game design artist, filmmaker and fashion designer. Young-Ju is pursuing a degree in digital arts at The Seoul Institute of the Arts while continuing his music career. His musical styling ranges from hip hop to electronic music, frequently incorporating both contemporary and traditional Korean instruments and sounds. He is very excited to work with CalArts students on his next hip hop album. Event Co-Producer
Nova Lee is a broadcasting student at The Seoul Institute of the Arts. Nova formerly lived in New York City and produced and edited an impressive collection of short films while in residence. Nova is an avid motorcycle rider, skateboarder and house and classical music aficionado. Event Co-Producer
SeokWoo John Jeon is a broadcasting student at The Seoul Institute of the Arts. John was awarded a highly competitive position on a co-production film shoot between SeoulArts and Chapman University’s Dodge Film School students last summer. He is avid Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) and competes in tournaments throughout the year. John was recently awarded a broadcasting internship in Los Angeles this year.
Min-ji Kim is a Korean Traditional Dance student at Seoul Institute of the Arts. Min-Ji has performed in many prestigious venues and shows such as the Namsan International Festival, U-Dance and collaborated with US recording artist AVAN LAVA for their sold-out show in Seoul in early April.
Ah-Reum Lee is in her third year at Seoul institute of the Art as a Korean traditional dance major. Ah-Reum performed in major dance events such as U-Dance and The 50th Anniversary of The Seoul Institute of the Arts celebration. Recently, Ah-Reum participated in the highly anticipated AVAN LAVA and SeoulArts collaboration show in Seoul.
Sae-Rah Kang is a Korean Traditional Dance student at The Seoul Institute of the Arts. Sae-Rah has performed in various concerts and show including U-Dance, Namsan International Festival, and recently, collaborated with US recording artist, AVAN LAVA, for its sold-out show in Seoul.
