• Music Gateway is focused on preparing incoming students to the Herb Alpert School of Music. The core of this program is Music Theory Boot Camp, a classroom intensive designed to augment your skills in music theory and ear training to prepare you for the theory and skills placement tests and subsequent coursework in those areas. Classroom activities are supplemented by additional field trips around the CalArts campus.

Accommodation and meal plans are available for these programs at an additional cost.
