  • Compass—your new fast and easy connection to employers, internships, on-campus opportunities, workshops, advising, and more—is now live! For information about finding Compass in your G-Suite, logging in, and more, check out our video tutorial.
    • Compass’ features include:
      • Job board that customizes to your use, including “Featured Jobs” for opportunities you tend to click on and “Trending Jobs” showing positions that many people are viewing.
      • Job board that features all on-campus opportunities, and diverse off-campus opportunities including residencies, fellowships, part and full-time jobs, and creative collaborations.
      • You can schedule advising appointments with any Center for Life & Work team member by clicking exactly what your appointment is for on an option menu with links to Google calendar. 
      • Weekly newsletter sent to you with links to upcoming events and workshops.
      • Self-help tools that will allow you to assess your interests and discover career options through a wizard-based career exploration tool. 
      • Mock Interview module that will give you more flexibility in submitting feedback on your recorded interviews, as well as the ability to download and save video files.

All current students will automatically have had their Compass accounts created on their behalf, using single sign-on. 

Life and Work Advising Appointments

Advisor Natasha Jones will be taking virtual and phone career advising appointments for the rest of the semester. You can meet with her to discuss resumes, CVs, cover letters, portfolios, interview preparation, mock interviews, job/internship search, and more!

If you would like Natasha to look at any documents (resume, CV, cover letter, etc.) and provide feedback, you must send them to her at least 24 hours before your scheduled meeting time. (For instance, if you have a Thursday 3 pm appointment, send documents by Wednesday 3 pm. If you have a Monday 10 am appointment, send by Friday 10 am). If you are unable to send your documents in time, your appointment will have to be rescheduled. Send documents and questions to
