  1. Talk to your supervisor to ensure that working at home is possible
 

2. Track your time with timesheets

  • Per the RWA, you will record your hours worked as required under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and California wage and hour laws.
  • All staff working remotely must complete their timesheets as usual.
  • If you are a non-exempt employee, you must record daily all hours worked. You are also required to take all meal and rest breaks in accordance with wage and hour laws. Working overtime must first be approved by your immediate manager/supervisor.
    3. Timesheets are still due on the Monday before payday by 9:00 am for employees and approved by supervisors by 1:00 pm.  Attached is a copy of the Staff Payroll Calendar.
  • For the time being, if both time frames are missed, the employee must email payroll@calarts.edu, and copy their supervisor, with ‘in/out’ times and actual days worked in lieu of a Late Time Entry form. Supervisors must approve the time worked by responding to the employee's email. Failure to follow these procedures will result in delay of payment.
