Study an arts discipline with alumni and students from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). For four weeks starting on June 18th, you'll learn what it means to be a professional artist; dedicating every day to your chosen art form. All levels of experience are welcome to apply. The Community Arts Partnership(CAP) Summer Arts Program is a free program for Los Angeles County high school students. Summer Session

For the 2018 summer, CAP will be offering two different academies on one campus. Both academies will be hosted by Susan Miller Dorsey High School in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles. 

June 18-July 18, with a Culmination Event on July 21, 2018

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be going into grades 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12, or graduating high school in 2018
  • You must be between 13 to 18 years old by July 10, 2018
  • You must attend a Los Angeles County School
  • Need extra arts enrichment (arts classes not offered during the school day)
