March 11: CalArts Library Closure, Digital Services Available

Due to the measures put in place by the Institute to protect the CalArts community and prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the CalArts Library’s physical spaces will be closed until the campus restrictions have been lifted.

All digital services will be fully operational, including our e-resource collections. Research help services will continue operating Monday-Friday between 9 am-5 pm through the online platform. For help navigating our digital collections, or if you have any other questions, use the blue “Questions?” button at the bottom of this page to speak with a librarian.

To access physical books and materials from our main Library collections, please find the title in the library catalog and click the “Request Item” button to place a hold.  We will page the item and provide you with instructions for pickup. For any circulation related questions, email libcir@calarts.edu

InterLibrary Loan services will remain operational.  For any questions about ILL requests, email ill@calarts.edu.

To access DVDs and Blu-rays, faculty may email filmservices@calarts.edu with their requests.  We will page the item and provide you with instructions for pickup.

Rest assured that the CalArts Library faculty and staff are working hard to make sure our services and operations continue smoothly during this time.
