If you’ve ever been to a Disney theme park, resort or cruise ship, you’ve likely seen and enjoyed the artistry and craftsmanship of Walt Disney creative professionals known as Imagineers. On Thursday, October 18th from 4-6:30pm, a team from Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) will visit CalArts to give an informational presentation and meet with students from all schools and métiers.
Following the presentation, WDI is hosting personalized Q&A sessions about topics that interest YOU. Imagineers across different departments will be paired with small groups of students to talk about their specific disciplines, careers, the themed entertainment industry, and beyond.
Imagineering employs approximately 1,400 people in more than 150 disciplines, and the event will feature senior show producers and designers, show animators, and music and media producers in Creative Entertainment, who will share their personal experiences and reveal how they turned their educations into rewarding careers.
In the past several years, the unique partnership between the CalArts School of Theater and WDI has led to internships, short- and long-term contracts, as well as full-time positions for many CalArts students and alumni across the Institute.
