THE REDCAT AWARD
The REDCAT Award is presented annually to individuals who exemplify the creativity and talent that define and lead the evolution of contemporary culture. Designed by Frank Gehry and fabricated by Tiffany & Co., the award celebrates the spirit of innovation and the transformation of ideas through creative acts and honors artists and cultural leaders, for together they embody the invaluable alliance that shapes eras and defines cultures.
DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the exceptional body of work, the significant artistic achievements, and the leadership and vision of a member of CalArts’s alumni community of citizen artists. By breaking with convention and taking risks throughout their careers, awardees are influencing the state of culture today and are making a lasting global impact in service to the arts and society.
